A Rackwick Croft

For an invigorating piece of investigative journalism readers made avail themselves of a copy of the book.  ‘An Orkney Tapestry’, Quartet Publishing Edition 1974.  Check the cover.
A quick flip through to Rackwick before returning to the Mainland (via Flotta) for Monday morning dancing.  Then lunch in the pierhead café Stromness (trying the recently introduced fishcakes).  Picking up artwork from Northlight Gallery to return to the artist.  Visiting my Mum in the care home.  Then a lie down.  I can’t work out how this has happened but a bottling of a whisky by North Star has turned up at the house.  Honestly, some folk have such temerity.

Martin Buchan is 73 next week.
