Facinating

I took this photo on July 21st, 2017 on our first visit to the Isle of Skye.  The grandchildren were quite young and we went on lots of adventures including a visit to the beach to find some dinosaur footprints.  To be honest, I was skeptical about the concept, but it was proven to be true. A few days ago, the story was revealed of the finding of a perfectly preserved skeleton of a prehistoric Pterosaur fossil, a flying dinosaur,  on the isle of Skye.  The fossil was first discovered in 2017 by a Ph.D student during a field visit to the island.  An official study and research of the discovered dinosaur fossil were only published on February 22nd of  this year.  It died 170 million years ago.  We'll be doing more dinosaur searches when we return to Skye later this year.
