Final journey

There’s a story behind this photo.
We’ve had this bed for the 34 years of our marriage. That’s ~100,000 hours of use! Time for a new one. The company delivering it wanted £60 for collection and disposal of the old one. I thought that was expensive. I phoned our local county council and they collect for £18. Done deal. It had to be out for collection by 7.00am. I don’t know why. I doubt the workforce start that early. They turned up at 11.30am. Canny lads who took it away.
If this bed lasts as long as the old one it will see us out.
