Musings of a Mortal

The water of Leith

Firstly let me thank all of you who looked at and commented upon my picture from yesterday - it was appreciated - thanks!

Anyway today Clare and her mum headed into town today for a spot of retail therapy, so Jim and my good self decided to go out for a walk - headed down to the Gallery of Modern Art and then proceeded to walk down the pathway of the water of leith...

Never been on any significant part of the walk - you can find out more about it here - but where we walked was great.

From the car park of the Gallery of Modern art - down the river and then headed towards Stockbridge and then ended up at the botanics for a coffee (and a cheeky wee donut!!) - turned around and headed back. If you have never done any of the walk - The full walk is Balerno to Leith and is about 12 miles - it is well worth it.
This is a view looking up the river at to the Dean village - alot going on but I like the fact how the old blends in with the new and in the middle...a river; constant flowing and never ending.
