Raptor rehab centre

Our last day in Plett. We visited this rehab centre for raptors and found it so interesting. This magnificent Black Eagle had been brought in with an injured wing and is flying fairly well again, but will not survive in the wild.
This centre is wonderful for educating the public about the many raptors we have in our areas, and we are now eager to set up owl breeding boxes in our garden and be more aware of the various raptors where we live.
We have had two amazing weeks away...life is going to be a bit dull after our Cape Town trip, the wedding, and spending time with our daughter S and her family in Plett before they return to the UAE.
The upside is I will now be back in "blipland"!!
