Bar-headed Goose

Someone reported this bird a 5 minute cycle from home so I popped along and got a shot. It will be an escapee from a collection, or descended from such, most likely from a feral population in Norway, but still a handsome bird to see. This is the goose which migrates over the Himalayas at incredible heights and at extreme cold so I suppose the Orkney weather will not be an issue. It seemed happy enough with a lot of greylag geese as company.
