In My Mind's Eye

Thursday....and a wet day....the kind of drizzle that seems to soak you more than a downpour.  

We spent a couple of hours deciding how best to transport our old TV to a family member,  Oddly, we had retained the box from an earlier TV which was a bit smaller, but not this one.  However,  with a bit of fudging managed to get it packed in. nicely.

Initially, the idea was to place it on the back seat with the seat belts acting as decent supports, but measurements revealed it was just a little too high to slide across the back seat of the car.via the door, so the obvious idea was to place it on the floor behind the pushed forward front seats...plenty of space then, but we had forgotten that the centre console unit did not move, so that idea was abandoned.  Our only option would be to fold the back seats down and slide it in via the hatchback,  Not ideal as they really should be transported vertically, but I packed the boot area with pillows and blankets to act as a huge cushioned area to absorb any bumps,   I am now curious to see how well it goes tomorrow morning when it actually gets loaded into the car.
