Small gesture

The unfolding horrors in Ukraine are such that anything short of a meaningful ban on Russian oil and gas exports, a no fly zone and an open door policy and warm welcome to those million displaced people fleeing the war isn't enough. There is though also a culture war being waged, in which Putin asserts that Ukraine has no meaningful culture or history. A very small contribution to counter this narrative can be seen in tomorrow's Scotsman, which has produced a supplement featuring the work of some of Ukraine's leading writers, playwrights and poets. It was the brainchild of the Scotsman's brilliant arts editor Roger Cox, I just did a bit of the production.
