H and I tried out something they've been doing in school; making butter (ìm in Ghàidhlig or Scottish Gaelic). All you need is some double cream (we had a little leftover from the other day), a jar and some decent muscles. Just shake for a few minutes till it separates into butter and buttermilk! Amazingly easy. Then we added a sprinkle of salt and spread it on some bread. Delicious.

Looking forward to getting out tomorrow.
