The forecast was for wall to wall rain today, and our plan was to stay round the hotel this morning, and then get out for a walk around when it eased off this afternoon.

After reading for a while I decided to investigate the hotel pool, gym etc, and finding them almost empty I went back to the room to collect my towel and swimming costume. The pool wasn't particularly cold, although it wasn't heated, and I easily got in and swam for about half an hour. It was drizzling, but so what if you're wet anyway? The jacuzzi was heated to 30 degrees so had a spell in that too. It was invigorating!

The day passed, and we went out for a walk in the late afternoon, with a beer in a bar that had been recommended to us. Then back to the hotel for dinner before the pasta became dried up - we've been steering clear of it up until now.

Sunday's forecast isn't so good, but tomorrow's looks okay so climbing here we come!
