Park Open

My local park reopened yesterday, so I am able to visit the river ducks once again. They closed the park about a week ago, when it was discovered that an unknown oily chemical was leaking into the river. The authorities soon found an old, abandoned and forgotten underground storage tank on the nearby property where the Ford Motor Company Lamp Factory produced car headlights in the 1920’s. This century old tank is filled with an estimated 10,000 gallons of a fuel oil and water mixture, and they believe that this is the source of the leak. The tank and its contents is now being excavated.
