FIRE! FIRE!

It's Silly Saturday....and although this Viper looks like it's on fire, it is not. A car dropped oil on the track previously and the maintenance crew rushes out and puts down oil dry compound to absorb it.

Racing is stopped while this process is going on, it is brushed and scrubbed to remove as much oil as possible (oily tracks lead to accidents...especially in curves) and finally the bulk of the compound is blown off the track with some powerful blowers.
~
But there's always some that remains and drivers are pretty cautious for the first few laps after an oiling....but some hit the powder that remains and put up a pretty good cloud of it. It's looks pretty silly.....but it's not dangerous.
