The spring garden

Well its really a wildflower garden. Any excuse not to mow the lawn. but t is a haven for insects, flying and land, many grasshoppers and crickets, etc. It doubles as a disabled garden for me as a wheelchair ramp runs alongside, albeit on a slope. eek!
The sun shone this morning as i at on a cushion on the ground with my 600mm lens to allow compression do its thing.
And so after seeing another  sleepy queen bumbler looking for a suitable nest site, quickly followed by a drone fly on a bright yellow celandine, i  concluded spring is firmly on its way
