Saltfleetby Theddlethorpe National Nature Reserve

Not at its photographic best in the cold and rain, so un-remarkably very few people. The one dog-walker with two animals had failed to read and inwardly digest the many signs requiring dogs to be on short leads and paths from 1 March. Either that, or he did not know it was 5 March.

Wildlife was not in great evidence either save for magpies, a little egret, a couple of shelduck, a wren, a couple of pied wagtails and a chaffinch. The mole which had been very busy building hills was nowhere to be seen.

The extra of the saltmarsh near the beach is unlikely to be featured on any publicity material.
