1960 Holden Special FB

Despite the Holden company's international links, the Holden was considered 'Australia's own car'. Doing automotive since 1908, the last Holden rolled off the assembly line in 2017. There were many years in between.

In 1960, Holden introduced my blipped FB model, inspired by 1950s Chevrolets, with tailfins and a wrap-around windscreen, all very space age. The first extra shows the badging, including on the side three stars and 'Special', and a racy looking hood emblem. Also a front right flat tyre, amid the rust, or holes where rust used to be.

My second extra is a download from a site for vintage Holden enthusiasts. Note that the number plates, between it and my derelict find, are not far apart. Such a fully restored one would fetch around $30,000.

Still raining.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske. Stay safe.
