Black fly

We have a plague of tiny black flies that have suddenly appeared.

They seem to be sciarid flies or fungus gnats and they emerge from the few house plants we have over wintering in the conservatory

This not-very-good photograph shows one of the little monsters.
I like the iridescence on the wings
