I guess it’s a sign of age that some of the best things about my Birthday today are: having a house full of beautiful flowers and a pair of lovely new slippers. Old and very much owning it.

After yesterday’s party, I had a very slow start before heading out for a run - in shorts and a T-shirt for the first time this year! How wonderful!

Onto lunch with mum, dad and sakalasafari where we royally stuffed our faces!

Then back home to champagne with Grace and then Gilly who just happened to pop round at the time the cork was being popped!

A lovely Birthday - I’m so thankful to have spent it in the company of wonderful people - and feeling very much loved and celebrated!
