Still Winter Grass

'Still' in the sense of not moving and 'still' in the sense of staying power. After all the snow and all the wind through the winter, they remain, tall and proud. Today, unbelievably, temperatures reached 62°F. I can't remember it getting above freezing in March.

I think what attracted me is their softness and delicacy. The grass doesn't seem very sturdy. And their warmth, reflecting the mild day. I like the combination of verticals with one or two diagonals and all the seeds on their wiggly strands.

Extra: Indomitable. Another in my series of things revealed and concealed - yet to be titled.
