Grrrrrrrr a museum exhibition with gender issues

This was the only piece of art in the exhibition ( ladybird books, artist and artwork) which showed a girl doing something outside the gender norms at the time, and even then…. She’s only looking.
I know the art work is a product of the time and the white male artists view of the world in 50s and 60s, but the curator and museum have a responsibility to comment on this, to provide balance.
I met a friend for lunch, and only once in 3 hours did I misgender them, still disappointed with myself.
