Condemned

On this dull day I lacked inspiration to find anything of interest but noticed several rotten trees marked with red crosses. Soon these will be cut down and barely missed amongst others in the country lane.
This reminded me of an article I read yesterday stating that over 682 executions are known to have been carried out last year in 21 countries excluding Syria, Egypt and China where over 1000 are believed to have been executed. According to an Amnesty International spokesman "There is no evidence whatsoever to indicate that the death penalty works as a special deterrent against crime."
In spite of their crimes which may be for trivial offences in some countries, there must be people who miss their condemned relative or friend.
