Corfe castle

I have passed through the village of Corfe many times and in doing so passed below its walls. Today was the first time I had ever ventured inside.

If I remember reading correctly the castle was habited for 500 years. Staggering.  I can only imagine the people who looked out of this window and the life they had all those years ago.
