After the storm, just before the hail

We chose the day of Storm Eunice to drive 50 miles or so to see our friends at their new house. The journey was "interesting" but less eventful than we had feared. We arrived to find our friends had no power or mobile or internet, but the wind was abating and the sun began to shine. Just as we decided to go for a walk the hailstorm began.
