Bonsai tree

I’m lucky enough to have been allowed to visit San Diego for a work trip. I had the morning and afternoon to myself on Sunday and took the opportunity to see some of the city with someone I work with and his wife. We visited Balboa park and went to two interesting gardens. The cacti and Japanese gardens.

The cacti were amazing, so many strange and wonderful shapes and patterns, several I wouldn’t want to meet on a dark night. But I chose to use this photo of a Turkish gum tree that was in the bonsai section. It was beautiful and ornate up close but still had a lot of colour and sheen to it. I would get one if I had the Patience to trim it.
