Cairn Blip

When I was a boy being brought up in Cumberland I became respectful and glad of the cairns on the routes in the fells In poor visibility they have saved much time and discomfort and probably a few lives too.

There aren't many on the moor, less are needed to be honest, just head down hill and you'll end up by a road sooner or later. Still I look on them all affectionately as if they are actually cousins of those in wilder more dangerous hills
