Iceland, group 1, day 1 - Garður Old Lighthouse

I left at 7.30 in the morning, to arrive at Schiphol airport for the photography holiday to Iceland. I'm one of the guides. The participants are all very keen on capturing the northern lights, but the weather forecast told us we would be under constant cloud cover the entire night. Also, the indicators for northern lights weren't that high. After dinner, we decided to do some practice shots at the hotel. No northern lights visible, but the conditions started to change rapidly and our apps also started notifying us chances were improving. So out we went, to the Garður Old Lighthouse. Sure enough, the aurora could not only be captured on camera but was also visible with the naked eye! A great start to the trip!
