It’s International Women’s Day!

We had a big debate in the Scottish Parliament and some of the speeches were fabulous! The general atmosphere was uplifting and collegial - something we should see more of in politics. Women make up 45% of Members of the Scottish Parliament, the highest percentage so far! 

There were a larger amount of flowers in the shop today than usual. I assume these flowers represent the Suffragette colours.
