When the going gets weird

Lincoln in Dalivision

When I was younger, my favourite fine artist was definitely Salvador Dalí. Along with Monty Python, he was probably the biggest creative influence on my young mind.

So when in Barcelona for the first time, I had to make a pilgrimage to nearby Figueras. Location of Dalí's self designed Museum-Theatre (and unplanned mausoleum). It as you would imagine, totally hat stand bonkers.

Many of Dalí's best works are scattered across various collections world-wide. But this place is certainly worth a visit. Although not all the work on display is up to his best standards, the pieces that hit the spot like "Lincoln in Dalivision" are something special.

Later that night we had our first taste of real Barca nightlife. Which involves leaving the pub at 5 in the morning basically. Davey's Spanish pals did us all proud and showed us how they party (hard).
