Glass Palace/Culture House !!

This glass building is located in the center off Heerlen. This building used to be a very large department store." Schunck".
It was popularly called the "Glass Palace".
So you just got everything here.
I have shopped there in the 1960s. They had a very long glass corridor, where a lot of toys were in the shop window. haha.
And there was a device with monkeys in it forming an orchestra. You had to throw in a penny and then they played a song. Nice memory.
Now it has been renovated inside and there is now a library, culture house, museum and restaurant on the top floor.
It's still called Schunck
On the 2 lower floors you can see very well the reflection of the opposite buildings.
