The Name's Bill, Saw-Bill

This sawbill duck is a female goosander, Mergus merganser.
(Very confusing is that species name since the other sawbill seen in these parts is called a merganser and has the species name Mergus serrator)

I found this goosander, along with its male partner, in Riverside Park, Glenrothes this afternoon.

Judges say you should always present an image of a bird doing something, so, apart from announcing its name, this one is clearly showing us why it is a sawbill.

My first 'extra' shows her doing something else, but precisely what, and why, is left to the imagination.

My second 'extra' is included because the light caught her eye but it could also be saying 'this is my best side to photograph'.
