How it started

From the looks of it, this was day one of construction (you can kind of see hawk in the tree, but no visible nest).
I happened to see this while at a red light on my way to work.  I have never seen a hawk do this - I mean, I know they do it, but it never occurred to me that I would get to see it actually happen.
It made my heart hurt, but in a good way.
