Hibiscus trionum

This flower is known by several names including puarangi, flower-of-an-hour and bladder weed, the latter because of its puff ball type buds, three of which are showing here. The buds are more interesting when they get bigger.

The blooms are short lived, longer than an hour but no more than about one day. Native to the tropics and subtropics, they have spread in Europe and USA, both as an ornamental plant and a weed, depending on one's perspective. It is naturalised in Australia and New Zealand.

Thanks for hosting BikerBear. Stay safe and have a great weekend.
