Downtown Gloucester

I was pleased to find Gloucester is a very unspoiled country town. This is a drive by shot as we left this morning.
It was a great place for a reunion. Easy to get to everything and no parking problems.

The final event was a visit to a dairy at Bulahdelah. It is completely computerised. The cows turn up when they want to be milked, a robotic arm washes and dries the udder and applies the milking cups. As the flow from each individual teat slows, milking stops and the cow finishes her meal and moves on.
I wish I could tell my late mother about it. She often recounted how she and her two teenage sisters had to milk 40 cows by hand twice a day on their struggling dairy.

After that we retired to the pub for lunch and then made our way back to Sydney.

Plus, the beautiful weather has been so appreciated after all the rain.
