New age milking

Has anything changed as much as dairy farming in the last 50 years? Today, our group of old broken-down vets visited a fully automated and computerised dairy at Bulahdelah.
The main blip shows the robotic arm complete with camera, sensors, water spray, air for drying the udder and dainty steel fingers for placing cups on the teats. Extras are the electronic control box and back scratcher. The cows (all 300) bring themselves in when they feel uncomfortably full of milk and everything is driven by solar power. No need for humans in the process!
