Kilmodan Kirk

I happened to be in Kilmodan Kirk  in the Clachan of Glendaruel today, for the first time in ages.   I have blipped it from the outside but never, I think, from the interior which is austere but full of character.

The Church dates from 1783  but has been refurbished at least twice since.  It is B listed and there are a number of fascinating memorials inside and out, including one to the Rev John McLaurin , Minister in the last decade of the seventeenth century , and his famous sons, Colin the mathematician and John the theologian both of whom were born here.
