I went to see Sebastião Salgado's Amazônia at the Science Museum in London.

Every other exhibition of his that I've seen has left me breathless - at the beauty of the world, at its scale, at the antness of humans.

Not this one. I don't know why. I hope it wasn't because the humans are portraits, and named.

I still stayed over two hours, admiring the stunning landscapes, waiting and hoping for the magic.

(I'm amused to see that the favourite of my photos is almost the same as the one Lesley Alsford took two weeks ago.)
