Spring Winter.

When we arrived 10 days ago there was a covering of deep snow however, with rising temperatures and glorious sunniness, melting is happening. Bit by bit, with the melting of the snow, this log has become uncovered. I’m told that we are now in the season of Spring Winter.
Another happy day to write about , we had a long snow shoe walk on the icy topping of the nearby lake , the sunshine meant that we were kept nicely warmed as we went along . We flip flapped around a beaver lodge and over the deeper snow around the head of the lake. We laughed and chatted as we journeyed, covering many topics. Some more serious than others.
We had been invited out for tea by J and Ks good friend Rose , so an evening of tasty food and good , deep conversation followed. We left late , the sky was dark , the air frosty and we were treated to an amazing show of the Northern Lights. We stopped at a few different places on the way home and watched in awe (we English visitors especially) as the lights pulsed , undulated and flickered across the darkness .
At times there were green bows fading in and out , at other times wraith like curtains of white hanging overhead. We had seen the lights before but never such a splendid display .
A grand day to be sure !
