Down by the Lake

A relaxed lazy day for most of it today due to no trip to Retford as the grandson's have covid.
I decided my hair was in need of a trim so this morning the clippers came out..
The weather was  fine and dry but grey  so we decided to take a drive to the other side of Lincoln and take a walk around the Millennium green a nature reserve which is made up of a large  pit of water  which you can walk all the way around we did go last year during lockdown .
We enjoyed a mix of wildlife including a lovely queen bee and a fine specimen of a small tortoiseshell butterfly..
The highlight had to be finally getting to see the Mandarin duck which has been seen there since last winter at least , when ever we have been to look for it it either been hiding or on another  lake. A few shots from the walk can be seen HERE including the bee and butterfly
Back home via a trip to Morrisons to get a few bits and  now watching some football.
Maybe a film or Netflix viewing tonight we will see how the mood takes us.
