Daffodils in the wood

A beautiful morning for my neighbour G and I to make our annual visit to see the daffodils in the wood. They're just a couple of miles walk across the countryside from our village in a place called The Oaks.
If we are very lucky we can catch them blooming at the same time as the hoards of snowdrops that also grow in this lovely wood. But, sadly the snowdrops were over, but the daffodils were still a beautiful sight.
The land is owned by a local aristocratic family whose 'seat' is nearby. We think that the daffodils, which are all doubles, must have been naturalised by someone in the family some time ago and what a beautiful sight they are each year.
