Blue and Yellow Above the Priory

Friend Helen collected me this morning and we drove over to friend Laura's for a couple of hours of catching up.  Laura is in cancer recovery and was in very good spirits today.  We solved pretty much all of the World's problems and then Helen and I set off on a mission to Bolton Priory where she collected some small stones from the river to send to a friend who has moved away from Yorkshire and wants some for her water feature in her new garden.

We had to have a cuppa (well you do, don't you?!) although we made the mistake of both ordering the 'Loaded Bagels' when one would have been plenty shared.  No more sweet stuff for me the rest of today, although I kidded myself that the banana and peanut butter made it a healthy snack (maybe not the agave syrup......)

This is the view of the Priory from the terrace of the tearoom, a locally iconic shot, remarkably free from folks today despite the glorious weather.  We weren't as impressed with the car parking charge of £12.50!!

Good to see the Ukranian flag flying proudly above the Priory.
