Mystical Lanterns

I’ve been working on this blanket by Janie Crow called Mystical Lanterns since December , and finally it’s ready to make up.

It’s comprised of 8 strips of 11 “ogees” and 7 strips of 10 and 2 half shapes, made individually so a lot of work! Then I joined as a strip in black as seen here. I’ve used 11 colours so each shape in one strip is unique but obviously there could be duplicates in other strips or very similar. So l laid them all out on the table and then had to jiggle them all around so there wasn’t too many similar near each other. The yellow and turquoise particularly seem to pop out!

Now just to join all the strips together and add a border on the top and bottom.
