Ten past five

That's what this sundial says - or should! That's the time the Abergavenny Women's Walking Group got back to Dymock church this afternoon after a 10 mile walk through the wild daffodil countryside of this area on the borders of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. And after I got home I went to salsa class for an hour, so am now officially knackered like OB's swell pedal. Except I will recover (unlike the swell pedal).

The point of the walk was to see an area where there are still swathes of wild daffodils, written about by the Dymock poets, who included such luminaries as Robert Frost, Rupert Brooke and Edward Thomas. The locals are very proud of their daffies, though they normally expect them about a month earlier than this.
