Bestie

Tomorrow Andrea will be 70. We have been best friends for 65 years. Today we planned to reminisce and visit old haunts. Unfortunately it poured with rain and we didn’t get very far. However we stopped outside The Castle Inn, the oldest pub in Newport, with links to Carisbrooke Castle. Aged 17 we would sit in one of the rooms here making 2 Coca Colas and 2 packets of crisps last for 2 hours. We would chat and knit! Mrs T, the landlady, was more than happy to let us do that.
