Giant Tonka toy!

Started off at Ennerdale today, before moving onto St Bees. Not the most straightforward journey, as both parts of the route were plagued by roadworks and major diversions.

On arriving at Ennerdale, was somewhat surprised to see this massive crane, United Utilities were carrying out some water works, and laying new pipes, so this was sitting at the edge of the lake. I liked the way the crane's jib seemed to be creating its own black hole in the clouds above. Shot this on a 16mm fisheye lens, as a 7-stop HDR, and used the Nik HDR software to create the HDR - a modicum of realism, with a good slug of colour!

Great workshop, good group, and we managed to recruit two new blippers:

Also with us this week was established blipper nine to forty two
