Matilda visits Ripley

The sun was out and so was Matilda. She took us over to the small village of Ripley just north of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Ripley is very small, basically a set of houses that must have been built as part of the castle. Not the sort of houses that would have housed the peasants I'm guessing...

The castle and grounds are closed for the time being but the Ripley Castle Tea Room was open so we tried their cream tea. Ripley also boast as being the home of 'the World famous Ripley Ice Cream' but we will save that for our next visit.

I have added a few snaps from our visit onto my Flickr page
