Sunrise at Shag Rock

I had a sunrise assignation this morning! What a way to start the day :)

6.30am, down at Shag Rock, with a friend who is also on Blipfoto, GingerNan , both of us armed to the teeth with tripods and cameras, warm gear, high hope and great expectations. We weren't disappointed either.

The sun suddenly popped up out of the sea, and yay! there was a very quick green flash, just like a filter sliding over the brightness, and then it turned to deep gold, with the sky glowing apricot, pinks and deep fiery salmon. Yes there may be awful damage in this area, but the majesty and beauty continues on, bringing such joy to the soul!

BTW - I hope you're not getting sick of Shag Rock and Sumner Beach, because there's still lots of potential !
