Bus Pass walk

Walked to the next village in lovely sunshine to catch a bus for another trip to Halifax today and a wander around the Piece Hall and the Minster.  Funny how ever many times you visit somewhere you always spot something different.  This is the view from the 3rd level, and some of the shop items and Minster in extras.  My hubby was a “proper Yorkshire lad” and had the accent to prove it, so couldn’t resist blipping the wares in a shop selling all things Yorkshire.  Interesting info about Anne Lister in the Minster in that she sustained a tick bite whilst travelling in Georgia and died of a fever.  Fascinating and well travelled woman.  Not sure if it will be legible, but there was a lovely alternative prayer on a table hoping for peace. A more “gruesome” fact outside a side chapel dedicated to Bishop Rokeby was that he asked for his heart and his bowels to be placed in a lead lined box separate to his body and to have them interred in a different place - weird!  A lovely town to visit, and more to see.  May be returning before too long
