My blip-years

Morons

We recently had Ollie serviced at an official VW commercial vehicle dealership. Whilst I am quite capable doing it myself, we want Ollie to have a full registered service history for the sake of resale value and it’s a good idea to have specialist knowledge to work on these campervans.

Today I spotted a wet spot under the van, and quickly discovered that they didn’t correct the brake fluid lever after replacing the front brake pads, where the pistons are pushed back and the level rises. So the reservoir overflowed and the engine bay is now covered in brake fluid. Aaargh, f*ckers!

One unambiguous mail later and it is back into their workshop on Monday to have the engine bay cleaned and checked for damage as brake fluid is corrosive to painted surfaces.
