Being hedonistic thrill seekers,  we took ourselves off to Braunton Burrows for a good long walk. I didn't see my hoped for buzzard, but did notice a whooper swan (please see extra) being pecked and chased away by the more usual mute swan.
I've no idea what these bundles of long branches are for, and can only guess they're something to do with flood defences, which are much needed in the area.
