Happy Birthday Joan

Today is HtP’s mums birthday. This is the lap blanket that I’ve made her. She loved the colours. I’ve never crocheted anything so large before.

I’ve been to Winchester City Mill today and I’ve helped with the stone clean. The flour collects inside around the edge of the wooden tun (wooden casing). We’ve taken everything apart and then given it a good clean. It’s great to be part of something so old.

I’ve then met HtP for lunch and then we’ve been to see his mum taking cake from the Winchester Cutg Mill cafe. They were delicious.
