Images from the river bank at Evesham

Busy day today.

Clearing up the house for the builders starting work tomorrow in the morning.

Then off to Evesham for a walk along the River Avon.

Blip is of the Leisure Centre from the river walk.

First extra is of Evesham Rowing Club and their first outing of the year.

Second extra is where the ferry operates from. Muscle power only to propel the ferry across by pulling on a cable line. The information board shows the ferry in Victorian times. The cottage is in the original image and still there in the background today.  The ferry was established in the 13century so the monks had a short cut to the vineyards on the slopes of the opposite bank.
